Lock "spatter" Everfoton launches ring fiber (power modulated fiber) for adjustable mode beam laser

Changing a Gaussian laser beam with relatively concentrated energy density to a beam pattern with energy distributed in a specific ratio is a very effective way to address spattering during industrial processing using lasers. By changing the intensity distribution of the laser focal beam to form a beam focal beam with different point-ring energy ratio distribution, spatter generation in the welding process can be effectively suppressed.

Ring fiber has a circular core and a structure covered with a layer of annular cross-section core, which can achieve the fiber laser center + ring beam output. The design structure of the refractive index profile of ring fiber is complex, and the process control is difficult. In this regard, Everfoton has made technological breakthroughs, successfully launching multiple types of ring fiber.

Excellent parameters and high beam quality

Ring fiber has a complex structure and is difficult to produce. The PCVD process adopted by Everfoton can achieve a close-to-ideal refractive index profile. Through excellent refractive index profile design and strict process control, the multi-cladding deep F-doped technology is actualized. With the technology, the fiber core's handling power can reach 6kW to 10kW, with high beam quality and extremely low attenuation in the center core and ring of fiber.

Supporting adjustable mode

As a matching fiber for variable beam profile lasers, Everfoton's ring fiber core and ring layer are capable of separate laser transmission, which can realize different modes of output such as Gaussian beam, ring beam and mixed beam, with waveform editing function to meet the independent power adjustment of the middle core/ring and short power switching time (in millisecond order).

Multiple types available and product customizable

At present, Everfoton has successfully launched fibers with center core/ring being 34/102, 50/150, 100/300 and 100/600 in diameter, and can provide customized products, which have been tested and extensively used in many enterprises.
